Celebrating Success

At Rochford Primary we celebrate all our children's successes. Whether it is an achievement in the class room, for their attendance, sport related in and out of school, helping raise money for a charity or through an act of kindness, everyone joins in the celebration.

Green Class Dance Festival

Year 6 Assembly on Greeks was amazing! Well done Blue Class for a fantastic performance.

On Monday 6th November our Year 5/6 football team travelled to Barling Magna to start off their competitive football season.

We started the game well with an early goal from Oliver Mott, however we conceded very quickly afterwards levelling the score but thankfully the boys kept their heads up and managed a beautifully inventive goal scored again by Oliver Mott.

We did concede again afterwards but from conceding that goal the boys kept their cool and went on to comfortably win 5-2 with Oliver Mott scoring 3 , Jake Chapman scoring 1 and 1 own goal.

The team showed great respect and sportsmanship to the opposition throughout the game and we are looking forward to the next one.

Well done Mr. Swindell and Team RPS!

There has been some truly amazing homework appearing at our school.

World Book Day at Rochford Primary was a fantastic success. How many famous book characters can you spot?

Well Done

Orange Class attended the Palace Theatre on Tues 31st January. They performed a fantastic dance and were wonderfully behaved.

A huge thanks to Mrs. Barfoot (our Sports Specialist) for choreographing the routine and teaching the children alongside Miss Wicks.

Photos from their dress rehearsal and the actual performance!

In computing, Red Class have been learning about algorithms.

We tried to program our Bee-Bot (mini robots) to follow a sequence of directions that we had inputted.

Athlete visit

Rochford Primary School took part in a sponsored circuit with Serita Soloman (100m hurdler) to raise money for athletes in training and for school sports equipment.

Orange Class visit to The Museum of Childhood

Orange Class went to the Museum of Childhood as part of 'The Magic toy Maker’ unit of study. They had great time exploring the differences between old and new toys.

Wakey Wakey children enjoyed playing a great game of Scooter Ball this morning.
